Refund & Withdrawal Policy

This policy explains how to cancel, withdraw and get a refund for purchases on certifyboost. Together with our Terms of Service it forms the contract between you and ntagks, the business behind certifyboost.

It has two parts:

• Part A: your legal rights. These come from the law. We can't take them away and nothing here limits them.
• Part B: our extra commitment. Something we offer on top of the law.

Part A applies to consumers, meaning people buying for purposes outside their trade, business or profession. School licences are covered by a separate School Agreement (see the end of this policy).

What you can buy

• Monthly plan, €12.99 per month, and Annual plan, €79 per year. Subscriptions that renew automatically until you cancel. We e-mail you a reminder before each renewal (unless you switch billing e-mails off in Settings › Notifications).
• 3-Month Exam Pass, €29.99. One payment for three months of Premium. It never renews.
• Live Interview minute packs: 15 minutes for €4.99, 35 minutes for €9.99, 80 minutes for €19.99. One-time purchases. The minutes don't expire while your account exists.

All prices include VAT. Plans, the Exam Pass and minute packs are digital services. Usage limits are listed in the Terms of Service.

Part A: your legal rights

Your 14-day right of withdrawal

Where a consumer lawfully exercises the right of withdrawal, applicable law applies. Where required, performance during the withdrawal period begins at the consumer's prior express request. For digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, performance before the end of the withdrawal period begins only after the specific express consent and acknowledgement required by applicable law. Mere use of the service does not by itself constitute a waiver of any statutory right.

What this means for you:

You can withdraw from a purchase within 14 days, counted from the day after your purchase (bought on 1 March: until the end of 15 March, Greek time), without giving a reason.

Your access starts immediately. At checkout you ask us to start straight away by ticking a box. The box is never ticked for you. For plans and the Exam Pass it says:

What you get back if you withdraw

If you withdraw within the 14 days, we refund what you paid minus a proportionate amount for the service you received until you withdrew:

• Plans and the Exam Pass: you pay the price × the time that has passed between your purchase and your withdrawal ÷ the actual length of the period you paid for (28–31 days for a month, 365 or 366 days for a year, the actual days of the three months of an Exam Pass). Example: a plan costs €30 for a 30-day month and you withdraw 10 days after buying it. You pay €30 × 10 ÷ 30 = €10, and we refund €20.
• Minute packs: you pay the price × the minutes you used ÷ the minutes in the pack. If you bought more than one pack, we count your remaining minutes as belonging to the pack you withdraw from. Example: a pack costs €10 for 40 minutes and you used 8 of them. You pay €10 × 8 ÷ 40 = €2, and we refund €8.
• We round the amount you pay down, in your favour.
• AI writing checks or AI speaking gradings you used are part of the plan's price. They are not charged separately.
• For plans and the Exam Pass, our extra commitment in Part B can give you a full refund instead. We always apply whichever is better for you.

Then:

• We refund you within 14 days of your withdrawal, to the payment method you used, in the currency you paid in. You pay no fees.
• A withdrawn subscription ends immediately.
• The unused minutes of a withdrawn minute pack are removed from your balance.

When the right ends early. Once a service has been fully provided, the right of withdrawal no longer applies, because you asked us to start immediately and acknowledged this at checkout. For example, once you have used every minute of a pack, you can no longer withdraw from it. A plan or an Exam Pass is fully provided only at the end of the period you paid for, so within the 14 days you can always withdraw from it.

If we didn't do our part. If we did not get your express request to start immediately, or did not inform you properly about your right of withdrawal, you pay nothing for what you used. If we did not tell you about your right of withdrawal at all, the withdrawal period is extended as the law provides (by up to 12 months).

Renewals. The 14-day right applies to your first purchase of a plan. A renewal on unchanged terms does not start a new withdrawal period, but you can still cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current period. A renewal on changed terms (for example, at a new price) does start a new withdrawal period.

How to withdraw

Online. Use the button "Withdraw from contract here". You find it:

• in the app, in Settings › Billing and in the footer of the app's workspace pages;
• if you can't or don't want to sign in, on our public withdrawal page at app.certifyboost.com/withdraw, which is also linked in the footer of our website;
• if you are a parent who bought for your child, through the link in your purchase confirmation e-mail.

1. Open the withdrawal page. When you are signed in, or come from the link in your e-mail, your name, the purchase and your e-mail address are filled in for you. On the public page you enter them yourself (the order reference is in your confirmation e-mail).
2. Press "Confirm withdrawal".
3. We e-mail you an acknowledgement with the content of your withdrawal and the date and time we received it.

On the public page, anyone could type your e-mail address, so we protect your purchase: the acknowledgement goes to the e-mail address of the purchase, with a link and one button to confirm the withdrawal before we refund. Your withdrawal still counts from when you sent the statement.

Or in writing. Send us any clear statement that you want to withdraw, by e-mail to hello@certifyboost.com or by post to ntagks, Pavlou Mela 39, Triadi, 57001 Thermi, Greece. You can use the model form below, but you don't have to.

Your withdrawal is in time if you send it before the 14 days end.

Legal guarantee (conformity)

This Refund Policy does not limit the consumer's mandatory statutory rights regarding the conformity of digital content or digital services. In case of a lack of conformity, the remedies provided by law apply, which, depending on the case, may include bringing the content or service into conformity, a proportionate price reduction, or termination of the contract.

In practice (Greek Law 4967/2022, which transposes EU Directive 2019/770):

• If something doesn't work as described, tell us at hello@certifyboost.com. We will first try to bring it into conformity, free of charge and within a reasonable time.
• If we can't or don't, or the problem is serious, you can ask for a proportionate price reduction or terminate the contract.
• You can also claim compensation where the law provides for it.
• If you terminate or get a price reduction, we refund you within 14 days, using the same payment method, together with any interest the law provides.

Incorrect or disputed charges

If a charge is incorrect or disputed, you can contact us so we can investigate and, where appropriate, correct or refund it. Your ability to turn to your payment provider or bank is not restricted.

We never lock your account because of a dispute. If a payment is reversed, only the access paid for by that payment ends. Your account, your data and your other purchases stay.

Part B: our extra commitment

Beyond the mandatory rights provided by law, any commercial refunds are applied according to the specific objective criteria of each product and do not limit mandatory statutory rights.

Full refund if you haven't used Premium. If you withdraw from a Monthly, Annual or Exam Pass purchase within 14 days and you have not used any Premium feature since the purchase, we refund 100% of what you paid, instead of the proportionate refund in Part A.

You count as having used Premium only if, since the purchase, you did at least one of the following:

• started a section of a Premium (not free) mock exam
• completed a video or exercise in a course chapter after the free first chapter
• completed a Premium (not free) practice topic
• used an AI writing check or an AI speaking grading

Nothing else counts. You can see this list in Settings › Billing too.

We check this automatically when you withdraw, so you don't need to ask, and we apply whichever refund is better for you. This commitment is in addition to your legal rights in Part A; it never limits them. Minute packs are always refunded by the minutes you didn't use (Part A), so an unused pack is refunded in full anyway.

Cancelling a subscription

• Cancel at any time in Settings › Billing → Manage Billing (Stripe's billing portal).
• Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you won't be charged again.
• Cancelling outside the withdrawal period doesn't refund the current period. Your rights in Part A, such as the legal guarantee, still apply.
• The Exam Pass and minute packs never renew, so there is nothing to cancel.

Refunds in practice

• Refunds go back to the payment method you used, through Stripe, in the currency you paid in, without fees.
• When the refund appears on your statement depends on your bank or card issuer, usually within a few working days.

Schools

School licences (€60, €150 or €300 per year plus €25 per student seat, excluding VAT) are business purchases. Cancellation and refunds for them are governed by the School Agreement, not by this policy. Students who use certifyboost through their school don't buy anything themselves.
